Learn pottery and other cool crafts at

Potterville's Summer Camp for kids 6 - 16!

Choose from 3 week-long sessions:

July 13 - 17; July 27 - 31; August 10 - 14

Camp hours are Monday - Friday, 9AM -12pm, and kids should bring a snack.

Allergy Warning: Potterville has live resident rabbits.

Kids will be using the pottery wheel each day of summer camp. They will be making some basic things on the pottery wheel, like a bowl and a mug. They will aslo be making some fun things like spin art and a jack o'lantern. They will learn about trimming the bottoms of their pots, applying handles, and etching or carving a design, which all happen at a certain stage in the drying process.

In addition to the pottery wheel, kids will be learning other techniques for making pottery through the following projects:

1)  applying decorative coils to the bowl that they make on the pottery wheel;

2)  hand building bookends and attaching their own sculptures to the bookends.

3)  Kids will also choose/design a project that will be made from pinch pots.

There are many other arts and crafts that will be presented during summer camp, such as:

-A guided canvas painting

-Plaster masks

-Fabric-painting aprons

-Dream catchers

-Making slime

-Seed bombs

-Jelly fish

-Making bars of soap

Summer camp may include additional or different activities than the ones listed above depending on the age of the children in the group.
